Do you remember our Treat & Tree ? With each order we planted a tree in our Capitán Denim forest to offset our CO2 emissions. This year we want to do actions that take care of the planet.
This year, from November 25 to 27, we will do Black Friday, yes, you read that right, but we will do it our way. It will be called Friday that I love you green and part of the profit that we generate in the orders of these days will finance the Raíces de la Manchuela environmental awareness project.
Agriculture has a great impact on our ecosystem, climate, biodiversity, water and our health. Did you know regenerative agriculture ? It consists of rehabilitating the soil in our area and surroundings and keeping it productive as long as possible. This project is directed by La Manchuela por el Clima , a community of ambassadors who work to build a better future in our land.
Raíces de la Manchuela is an initiative that also promotes life in the villages and tries to stop the emptied Spain that is being talked about so much.
La Manchuela por el Clima is a youth association that aims to lead the socio-ecological transition of La Manchuela, promoting values and sustainable measures that are beneficial for ecosystems, but even more beneficial for the communities that live in them. We act against climate change and depopulation in the region because there is a great relationship between the actions that combat these two problems . Once a year they celebrate the Climate Fair , which aims to tour Manchuela to publicize the good work of our people and the wonders of our region. A group of young people who do not give up everything and who do not stop creating actions as good as Raíces de La Manchuela. Visits to farmers, projects where art and sustainability are mixed, are a few brushstrokes of everything they do.
Footprints and Roots is a sustainable tourism initiative that seeks to show Cuenca in a way that is respectful of the natural environment and the people of our towns. Through ecotourism with interpretive routes through our natural spaces, we value the landscape and environmental heritage, while through agrotourism we visit producers and artisans, giving visibility and prominence to their work and the rural culture of the towns of the province.
