Move to the beat of Blondie

Muévete al ritmo de Blondie

At Captain Denim you already know that we are crazy about music, movies and everything related to culture. And to test a button, have you taken a look at the names of our jeans? Dutronc, Joplin, Hardy , Flamingo,… Some older and others more current like Tulsa or like Blondie , the protagonist of this post.

Blondie gives our denim skirt of the season its name and before explaining why we named it that way, we want to explain to you, in case you don't know her, who Blondie is.

It is a band that was born in the late 70's in the United States . Although they stand out in the New Wave , other genres such as punk rock have also been heard in their band. Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, … They were a worldwide success.

Its components were Gary Valentine, Clem Burke, Debbie Harry , Chris Stein and Jimmy Destri, Debbie being the only woman, voice of the group and blonde, hence the name Blondie .

With the release of their third album in 1978, Parallel Lines , they conquer the market and are a worldwide success. They are also known with international hits such as "Heart of Glass", "One Way or Another", "Atomic", "Call Me", "Rapture" and "The Tide Is High", an eclectic mix of musical styles, such as punk , pop, disco, synth pop, reggae and rap.

Debbie gave off and still continues to give off, that style that we like so much in Captain Denim: carefree, free and with a great personality . That's why, when we designed our denim skirt and saw its movement, it was clear to us, it would have to be called Blondie.

Move to the rhythm of Blondie.
