Captain Denim bets on ozone washing for its pants
At Captain Denim we have developed a new ecological and sustainable technological process certified by AITEX to whiten denim fabric. The new system avoids the use of chemical products and in turn leads to a considerable reduction in the consumption of water, energy and process time.
Specifically, ozone washing achieves 54% less water and 80% savings in process time, compared to the traditional bleaching process. Also, as we say, this new system uses 0% chemicals.
This technology improves the washing operating parameters, while reducing the rinsing and drying cycles. This is because ozone opens the fibers of the fabric allowing a greater extraction of water.
On the other hand, ozone reduces the consumption of hot water since the use of this element potentially lowers the temperature of the water. Ozone has a cleaning and disinfecting effect produced by the oxygen it generates, which cleans the fabric in depth, allowing greater absorption between the fibers, and at the same time, reduces the temperature. In addition, the use of ozone produces less damage to the treated tissues.
Captain Denim's new washing technology uses ozone as a disinfectant agent that replaces the chlorine bleach used in conventional processes. Likewise, the use of ozone helps maintain neutral PH levels by reducing the use of chemical products.
Among other collections, Captain Denim has opted for ozone washing to manufacture its Ecolojeans, both for men and women , thus achieving a more ecological and sustainable finish, in line with its brand philosophy.
