Despite the difficulty related to sustainable production processes and the high costs that they entail, at Capitan Denim, aware of its importance, we support this type of technique in order to minimize the impact on the environment and that our commercial activity has a positive in society. For this reason, we work with biomass, as the main energy source, and solar panels that complement it, using these processes both for the manufacture and distribution of our products.
The raw material to run the entire factory is of organic origin: we use peach pits, olive pits, pistachio shells... It depends on the season.
On the other hand, Captain Denim fabrics are certified with the 'Made in Green' seal, the most demanding that currently exists in terms of health, environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility. In this way, it is guaranteed that Captain Denim products do not contain harmful chemical substances and have been produced respecting the environment and the rights of workers.
Likewise, our fabrics are within reach:
- Global Recycled Standard 2017-025: Certification that guarantees the traceability of our products, to the extent that the content of recycled material in the composition of the item's findings is greater than 20%.
